Mary Donnelly Haskell This is an interesting project; a mix of traditional and contemporary worship songs, all of them in traditional settings. Mary Donnelly Haskell cites Ephesians 5: 18-19 as the inspiration for her music. Mary says, “I love that there is no exact definition of, or limitation to how we ‘make a joyful noise unto the Lord.’ The important thing is that we make one. “Lamb of God” even had my wife singling along while I liked the piano-driven, understated arrangement of “Precious Lord.” Mary says, “My roots are deep in southern gospel and I also have a love for all of the contemporary worship music that is out now.” “Modern purists,” if there is such a thing, may find “Here I Am to Worship” a little too different. Kudos to Lesley Burbridge-Bates of L.A.B. Media for all of the useful material submitted with the review copy of this disk. - Rob S. |
