            I can’t seem to keep up with the Hillsong releases, as they seemingly appear to come out once a month!  However, as I listened to “All of the Above” I found myself very interested in this particular project.  “All of the Above” is different in that it is a studeo CD and not the usual live Hillsong project.  The 14-track release is as it is billed – a fresh resource for the church.  Although the CD has more of a rock edge than most praise and worship church bands, the songs are accessible enough to make their way into a pw rotation.  For myself, I like the CD as it stands and I think it makes a good listen for home, work, and on the road.  It is a blessing to have fresh modern worship as is presented on “All of the Above.”

Hillsong United is an offshoot of the Hillsong Church youth group.  Original intentions did not include recording and touring, but as the Lord would have it (His way) the youth program is being used in more ways than anticipated.  The collaboration of youth are actively involved in all aspects of creativity, production, and musicianship.  Leading the program is Youth Pastor Phil Dooley who travels with the band as a speaker at various events.  For more information check out http://theiheartrevolution.com web site.
