BreakMorning

Break.Morning
Self-Titled
Independent
Grade – B

This CD has come to me through a couple of young guys at my home church. The album was a real surprise and more than I expected., particularly from a couple of high school students (at the time of the recording) and a computer.  The creativity and complexity of the soundtrack is amazing for a home recording.  I have to give the guys credit for doing such a phenomenal job.

However, there are moments where the production could have used a little work.  There are a few times when the mix seems off and the vocals are drowned out and not so clear.  Overall though it is a remarkable project and an example of the outlet that music can be.  It has inspired me to mic up the piano and break out Garage Band.  Now all I have to do is find someone to play!

“Break.Morning” the self-titled debut is an acoustical magnum opus with emo-ish vocals and a hype retro-type Outro, complete with mysterious audio clips that probably have some deep hidden meaning but I was too afraid to ask so I don’t know what the meaning is.  If you’re interested, check out their MySpace page and shoot them an email.
