According to his PR material, when Mark Harris served as the primary songwriter for 4Him, he wrote from a corporate perspective, that his songs had to encompass what the entire group wanted to say. As a solo artist, he’s able to communicate more personal messages.

Harris says, “It’s exciting for me to be able to do that. I never knew what it was like to write 12 songs and cut 12 songs. I always felt like I had to write 50 and record 12.”

This record has just about everything that I look for in Christian music; up-front lyrics and the Biblical inspiration listed for every song.

The title track strikes me as the sequel to the Dove Award-winning “Find Your Wings.” I really liked the uplifting “All for the Glory of You.” “Use Words,” about being ready to share Jesus with others, should be a single.

Harris says, “You get to a point in life where you’re not doing things for success as much as for significance. I want my music to make a difference in people’s lives.

“I believe that songs can make a difference when someone hears them at the right time. Because I’ve seen how songs impact people.”

Musically, the record is very typical for the Adult Contemporary genre. Mark’s vocals really shine on the up-tempo numbers.
