Flame Flame’s newest album, Our World: Redeemed is a skillful combination of purposeful lyrics and polished beats. This album is the sequel to his last album: Our World: Fallen. The storyline in these two albums is of FLAME befriending a non-Christian and telling him about Jesus and the state of our world. I thought this was a very creative storyline and a great focus for an album. It seems more often than not, albums are just artists’ newest songs thrown together. However, FLAME is very intentional on what his songs are about. Even with a focused storyline, Our World: Redeemed is refreshing. One of the most refreshing parts is that FLAME is not ashamed of the gospel nor is he trying to downplay the fact that he is a Christian. I have listened to enough Christian artists who hardly mention God in their songs. The lyrics give an encouraging message and are focused on Jesus and the Christian walk. There is a good mix of beats in the album. Some songs are intense, while others are more laid back. It seems that FLAME’s skills continue to improve with each album he releases. I would highly recommend this album to anyone who likes Christian rap. - Jason R. |
