Joel Auge The debut from French-Canadian Joel Auge (pronounced Ojhay) is described as art-rock, folk and pop. Eight of the twelve tracks are fairly mellow. “Glory Glory” has some good energy. Auge says that song “calls Christians to give glory to God for everything.” “Every Heart” is a nice praise song. I really liked the lyrics to “Even the Rocks;” “singing with the stars. . .all creation speaks for you.” Auge says, “It’s a daily struggle to put the ego aside, but ultimately, I’m nowhere near as important as the one I’m singing to. He doesn’t call us his ‘bride’ for nothing. It’s because he loves us and he knows us. So I’m intentional about showing that God is who he says he is.” - Rob S. |
