In an interview I read recently Mac Powell daringly stated that Revelation was Third Day’s best album to date. A strong statement in deed, but I could not agree more. Right from the start this album rocks and it does not stop for 13 tracks. You can tell that something changed – something is different. It’s not just the sound either. The song content and the lyrics have me impressed as well.

I read in another article how the band worked with a new producer on this album. There was talk about being intimidated and having to work harder than ever. I believe that has paid off for the band. It would be all too easy to sit back and make mediocre albums one after another once you hit the level of success that Third Day has. If they were looking for a revelation as to whether or not this was the place for them (being in the music business that is), I think it was confirmed with the quality of Revelation.

The music is already racking up points on the charts so I’m sure if you have Christian radio you have heard it. I’m recommending that if you have not heard the album to check it out. It is an awesome product of musicianship and notable content.
