The Remedy Club Tour Live (CD/DVD)earns an A if for nothing else but it’s economical value. It tight times you rarely get your hard-earned monies worth from so many products these days, but with Remedy Live,that is simply not the case. The CD/DVD set includes a 16 track live CD, an 85 minute live concert DVD, and some very cool DVD extras. The entire package is going for a mere $15.00 on their site and other online vendors. It’s a lot of product for the usual cost of a new release.

It was really the extras that put this project over the top for me. The up-close and personal look of touring and the back-stage workings of the band helped to make a connection with the band that I could not get with a CD. The only other way I have found to make such a connection is to actually see the band live, which is something I have not had the opportunity to do - yet. The second part of the DVD extras is a conversation/lesson with some of the band members on the bands songs. With the lessons there is an option to view chords and lyric subtitles to play along with. It’s like that guitar game, but not so phony.

The CD/DVD is not only valuable because of the price it is also a worthy product because of its contents. The David Crowder Band is quite adept at provoking genuine worship through music that isvibrant and edgy. The excitement of the live recording has drawn me in and made me a bigger fan of the David Crowder Band. It has also spurned on a craving to catch a live show in the near future.
