Centricity Records
Grade – B

Atmospheric rock along the likes of Kevin Max – sometimes subtle and airy other times upbeat and rockin’. The trouble is that there is not one single thing I can point out about the album that makes it worthy of a high-mark, but when you take it all in, lyrics and sound, the CD is very impressive. The lyrical content is as artsy as the soundtrack and much more so than what I remember of Downhere’s previous work.

A few of the tracks I would put at the top of the favorites list would be “The Problem,” “My Last Amen,” and “Cathedral Made of People.” The primary reason I would pull them ahead of the rest of the tracks is completely arbitrary, because the album as a whole is completely intense. I could pull out each track and point out why it is important either because of the lyrical content or because it has a cool hook. Either way, the album overall is a sensational product mixing modern rock and the gospel message with ease and creativity.
