It has been two years since their self-titled debut hit my desk and I still believe DecembeRadio is one of the best contemporary Christian Rock bands on the market. Their sound is classic yet unique and the message is timeless and gospel focused. The classic sounds are reminiscent of the Black Crows (“Satisfy Me”) and maybe a little bit of the Stone Temple Pilots (“Gasoline”) on the secular side.
Satisfied is 13 tracks long and nearly a 50 min run time which allows for a lot of gutsy guitar driven moments like “Falling For You” and “Believer.” In “Believer” I like how the band reflects on the influence of their parents actions – not just Sunday school lessons – that helped shape their own beliefs.
The album is an old school rock album with uplifting messages – “Love is a Powerful Thing,” “I’m a Believer, the good Lord He knows my name,” and it goes on and one from one track to the next. Very cool and very elevating.
