The latest Mary Mary CD, The Sound is their first non-holiday release since 2005 when the duo released the self-titled Mary Mary.  The group has amassed plenty of accolades from a Grammy to a Dove and platinum- and gold-certified albums.

The Sound is a creative project in many ways, the music is upbeat and fun, and the radio-like interludes tie the whole album together in a clever way.  The title track sets the pace for a high-energy experience.  The music smoothly transfers from the upbeat “The Sound,” to the soulful, “Superfriend.”  The CD overall is a lively project with a Gospel center and the mix of R&B, soul, jazz, and hip-hop make a diverse project with a lot of spice. 

Aside from the music, Mary Mary is branching out into other business opportunities with a clothing line, children’s books and music, interactive computer games and a beauty line.  The diversity of their endeavors is as eclectic as their music.
