The latest book from McManus is a challenge to wake up to your full potential and to “dream bigger and live larger.” At times the book reads like a self-help program that is defined by the 8-step guide to “Dream, Discover, Adapt, Expect, Focus, Create, Enjoy and Invest.” I had a difficult time reading it at points because it did seem like a carbon-clone of a self-help program, but on occasion McManus throws in the Biblical basis for his points and that helped to make the book more applicable to Christian living.
It’s a good book that is easy to read as long as you don’t mind the self-help format. The book also has a companion DVD. The DVD has 5 short films that are quite artistic. Some are “artistic” to the point that I missed the point of the video. In the right context they videos could be useful for driving home the various points, but it is not a format for all ages.
