Amy Grant The latest holiday release from Amy Grant is a collection of her favorites pulled from her previous three Christmas CD’s. Additionally, there are four new recordings on this collection. The new tracks include “Jingle Bells,” a fun new take on the classic song, “I Need a Silent Night,” “Baby It’s Christmas,” co-written with her husband Vince Gill, and finally, “Count Your Blessings.” Aside from the jovial festive feeling of “Jingle Bells,” the new tracks are more subtle and introspective. The song, “I Need a Silent Night,” addresses the business of the holiday and how overwhelming it can be. The song goes on to reflect on the day the Lord was born in Bethlehem. The song also features Grant’s daughter Corrina reciting scripture. The entire album can be purchased on iTunes. Or you may just purchase the four new tracks there as well. Amy Grant will again be making rounds with a Christmas tour, joined by husband Vince Gill. The short tour will hit approximately 15 cities overall. Also you can look for a skating special taped in early November featuring Amy Grant and Michael W. Smith singing and Olympic skater Nancy Kerrigan and Viktor Petenko on the ice. The show will be aired on November 30th. Ken W. |
