The Annie Moses Band is an all-sibling group of classically trained musicians. Their training and experiences brings the new holiday album a musical blend of classical, jazz, and some pop all brought to life with vivid arrangements. The lead vocals by Annie are as majestic as Sarah Brightman, a real treat.
The band consists of Annie (lead vocals and violin), Alex (viola, bgv), Benjamin (cello), Gretchen (violin, mandolin), and Camille (harp, piano). Their younger brother Jeremiah is coming up in the ranks on guitar, with intentions of working his way into the band full-time.
While the arrangements are mostly classical the album crosses genres with a hint of Latin (“God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman”) and 40’s Big-Band (“Red, White & Blue Christmas”). “Bethlehem, House of Bread,” is an original track penned and arranged by Robin and Bill Wolaver (mother and father of the group).
This Glorious Christmas comes with a 12 track CD and a 5 song live DVD recording. The DVD also includes a behind the scenes look into the Annie Moses Band. I highly recommend This Glorious Christmas for those quiet moments that are too few for sure this time of the year.
