Christmas This Year is a new EP by the young Disney-pop star Cali. The new holiday album apparently marks a change as she is now going by Callann Lane. The album is an iTunes exclusive this season. You will find a wide range of styles on the six individual songs. To contrast listen to the modern digital style of “Carol of the Bells” and then the piano driven “Christmas This Year.” Following that,Callann jumps right back into the synthesized “Let It Snow” and then to another piano melody called “Harmony.” The strangest track of all is a cover of Madonna’s “Holiday.” Other than the songs reference to taking a “holiday,” I have not quite figured out how it’s fitting to the Christmas season.

Check out iTunes and be sure to search for Callann Lane when searching. There are a few songs on here that a certainly worth the $.99 download. In particular I like the closer, “Glorious Things,” as it is more of a seasonal worship song and she sounds more serious on this track as well.
