The title says it all. This is a pureNRG project through and through as most of the soundtrack is like an upbeat dance track. This works well for tracks like “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree,” but not for all of the classics.

Some of the songs are just too perky and sped up,like a Chipmunk Christmas. I doubt that you’ll ever hear “Joy to the World!” more high-pitched and anthem like. I can see the children having a fun time with this, but it’s not the kind of music you play while putting up the Christmas tree or around Christmas dinner. I did however enjoy their rockin’ version of “Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee.” It has it’s pros and cons, but if you’re interested in some new music for the pre-teens, this is possibly as good as it gets for holiday themes.
