Glory in the Highest

This year marks a first for many artists with regards to holiday releases. The Shane & Shane duo are adding to that list of first with their first holiday release, Glory in the Highest. The ten-track CD includes three original songs and seven classics remade in a more singer-songwriter style. The soundtrack is a mix of jazzy country and gospel with a strong acoustic driven sound.
The first original track is “Born To Die” which is a reflection on not just the birth of Christ, but more so on “why” Christ was born.
We came here today
To celebrate His birth
But let us not forget
Whey Jesus came to earth
He was born to die
The second new track, “Holiday,” is a sentimental worship track praising God. The title track, “Glory in the Highest” is also an original. This too isa praise to Jesus the light of the world. Like a psalm,the song proclaims “Glory in the highest” in reverent praise for “The Holy One of Israel.”
Shane & Shane will be on a short tour starting in December with special guest Bethany Dillon and Phil Wickham. Bethany Dillon also appears on the CD, singing background vocals on “It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas.”
