Jeremy Camp Part One includes a video diary of a typical day while touring. This video segment is very comical as they open with a parody of an old time sitcom. The video goes from breakfast to setup through lunch, interviews, sound checks, fellowship, and then the show. The live segment of the concert includes the songs "Take My Life," "All the Time," "Understand," "Stay," "I Still Believe," "Walk by Faith," and "One Day at a Time." After the live show, there is a bit back stage and at a meet and greet where Jeremy signs autographs and chats with fans. Then it leads to a session on the bus where Jeremy goes over a new song that he was working on. Part Two is the complete testimony of Jeremy's life growing up in Lafayette, IN. This segment includes an interview with Jeremy as well as pictures from family photo albums. The power of Jeremy's testimony and faith really hit me as he shared many personal memories, and wedding pictures of his first wife and her battle with cancer. I couldn't get over how much he has shared about this experience. The pain and anguish of his testimony felt so overwhelming and at the same time with respect to the rest of the video you see the healing power of faith in Christ. Part Three includes the special features which are always a DVD favorite. The special features include videos for "Understand," "Walk by Faith," and a deeply competitive and exhilarating game of croquet (read antics and outtakes.) The only question people might be left wondering about is Jeremy's current relationship with former Benjamin Gate singer Adrienne Liesching. Adrienne shows up occasionally in the first part and at the end you can see her and Jeremy walk away holding hands, but nothing is ever mentioned about her. Possibly this is out of respect for his first wife, and most who know of Jeremy also know of he and Adrienne's marriage. In conclusion, I have seen many DVD's that are suppose to be summaries of Christian artists, but nothing compares to "IN 24." This is a comprehensive documentation of daily life on the road, life in general, and the music of Jeremy Camp. - Ken W. |
