Uprooting his family from Hollywood and migrating to Nashville has really paid off for comedian Brad Stine. Once in an atmosphere of negativity and shock value, he now finds himself in the company of multitudes of men, some searching, others strong Christians, and all enjoying his “right minded” attitude. I’m of course talking about Brad’s popularity with the Promise Keepers events. For the last two years I’ve had the pleasure of hearing Brad’s comedy/commentary at these events.

This past year, Brad shared some new material found on his latest CD/DVD called Tolerate This. It’s amazing how thought provoking he can be and how he uses his gifts of jesting to bring you to that point. From seeing him live and watching this new DVD, I really feel that he has come a long ways from his first DVD titled “Put a Helmet On.” His commentary has grown along with the humor and that makes his work especially important. This is yet, another medium for transmitting the gospel message to the masses.

I have both the CD and DVD of Tolerate This, and although we have listened to him in the car, I would prefer to watch him perform. Brad is a very animated person and I still draw similarities towards his mannerisms and those of comedian Dennis Leary. Either way, Brad is funny, non-offensive, clean, and thought provoking. That’s not a combination you would usually expect from a stand up comedian. I’d give his latest project an 11 on the laughing scale.
