            Israel and New Breed was formed in the mid-90s.  It’s a musical ministry organization comprised of musicians and singers who serve within their respective churches and tour extensively.  This DVD was recorded over two nights at the His People Christian Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.

            Most of the music is original.  “Favor of the Lord” is high energy rhythm and blues while everybody’s moving during “He Knows My Name.”  “Still Standing” is an excellent example of audience echo while you can feel the emotion present during “Your Latter Will Be Greater.”

            The concert includes an inspiring message from Bishop Tudor Bismark and also footage of the group’s visit to the Baphumelele Children’s Home.  It provides orphan care projects for children who have lost both parents to the AIDS pandemic, famine and war.

            The bonus material consists of 11:45 of extra songs.  Don’t even bother with the “More from Integrity” icon.

            While watching this concert, I was struck by the diversity among the members of the band and the audience, a tapestry of integration that would not have been possible in South Africa not that long ago.
