I never cared much for the music of John Tesh.. It struck me as shockly and over-the-top, not my style. This concert of music and dance, however, is worth viewing.
The mission of “Alive,” according to Tesh, is to get youth interested in dance. I’m also not a fan of hi-hop, which much of the dance here is inspired by, and yet I thoroughly enjoyed this concert. Christine Miller is an outstanding vocalist. The direction and production values are superb.
Watch it with your kids. They’ll want to start dance lessons. And if you don’t have kids, watch it any way. I won’t be surprised if this is up for a Dove Award.
