Veggie Tales®
Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry’s Big River Rescue
Big Idea

TVeggie Taleshe latest episode of the esteemed veggies is a parody of the famous Mark Twain story of Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn (if you couldn’t already tell that from the title). The story line is very clever and the slapstick comedy and witty one-liners kept the episode interesting. Sadly, I have not read the actual story, but I was familiar with several of the river towns mentioned throughout the episode. Although the story was not a direct biblical tale, the lessons were pertinent. It’s not much different than the Good Samaritan story, stressing the importance of helping others.

The feature was enjoyable and the lesson is invaluable, another excellent job from the folks at Big Idea!
